Your community council

Carreghofa Community Council comprises councillors, a chairperson and vice chairperson - all of whom are volunteers - supported by a part-time salaried clerk. Councillors are elected by the registered electorate of Carreghofa community and hold office for five years; the Chair and Vice Chair are elected annually by the councillors. The community's elected representative on Powys County Council also attends Carreghofa Community Council meetings.

The Council is actively represented by its members on outside bodies including the Burial Board for Llanymynech cemetery, Llanymynech Village Hall, Carreghofa Primary School and Tirgwynt Community Fund. Details can be found in individual members' profiles, below. A joint meeting with Llanymynech and Pant Parish Council is held annually and the two councils collaborate on matters affecting residents on both sides of the border.

The Council currently has no active subcommittees or working groups.
