Find planning applications on the Welsh side of the border
Powys County Council is the planning authority for the Welsh side of Llanymynech village. This page is linked to Powys County Council’s planning website and enables you to search and view planning applications for locations within the community of Carreghofa.
Powys County Council notifies Carreghofa Community Council of planning applications within the community boundary, which are then discussed at the Community Council's next meeting. If no meeting is scheduled before the deadline for submission of comments, councillors review the application by email and an ad hoc meeting may be convened if required. Any response that Carreghofa Community Council makes will appear on Powys County Council’s website.
Carreghofa Community Council is only one of several consultees and Powys County Council is not obliged to act on any response that the Community Council may make.
If you wish to comment on an application, you may do so either directly on Powys County Council’s website using a link from this page, or via the Carreghofa Community Council: contact the Clerk or come to our next meeting. Please ensure that you respond before the deadline for comments expires.

How to search
- Use the ‘Search…’ box to enter a keyword (e.g. planning application number or part of an address)
- Sort by column in ascending or descending order (e.g. click on the arrows beneath ‘Location’ to sort by address in ascending order; click the arrows again to sort by address in descending order)
- When you have found what you’re looking for, click the link in the ‘Full Details’ column to view the application on Powys County Council’s website.
